藍染体験 ーIndigo Dyeing Workshop−
灰汁発酵建てによる染液を使った藍染を体験することができます。
当館の藍染め体験には、
・生地を当館でご購入いただいて染められる体験
・お好きな生地をお持ち込みただいて染められる体験（要予約)
の二種類がございます。
お子様から大人の方まで、お一人様からお気軽に体験していただけます。

You can experience indigo dyeing using a dye bath prepared through the traditional lye-fermentation method.
We offer two types of indigo dyeing experiences:
・An experience where you purchase fabric from us and dye it
・An experience where you bring your own fabric to dye(reservation required)
Everyone from children to adults is wewlcome to participate,and you can enjoy the experience at your own pace

〈藍染めの手順〉
1. 染めたい模様を選びます。
2. 輪ゴムや割り箸などを使って模様をつけます。
3. 染液の中にゆっくりと浸します。
4. 液から取り出し、絞って広げ酸化させます。3、4を繰り返します。
5. 十分に染まったら、水で余分な液を洗い流します。
6. 脱水後、アイロンやドライヤーで乾かしたら完成です。当日お持ち帰りいただけます。
＜Indigo Dyeing Procedure＞
1.Choose the pattern you would like to create
2.Create the pattern using rubber bands,chopsticks,or similar items.
3.Slowly submerge the fabric into the dye bath.
4.Remove it from the bath,wring it out,spread it flat,(and allow it to oxidize.)Repeat steps 3 and 4 as needed.
5.Once the fabric is sufficently dyed,rinse off the excess dye with water.
6.Spin-dry,iron,and let it air dry. It's complete! You can take your piece home the same day.
